So what can we expect from the long anticipated year of 2012?
For starters we know it’s going to be a bumper year of activity with the Olympics, diamond jubilee and an extra bank holiday to name a few. But what we all want to know is how will our economy fair?
Whatever your business I think it’s fair to say that 2012 is going to be another year of survival of the fittest. Cutting back and protecting ourselves is still going to be one of our key priorities but make sure you don’t cut back on getting yourself out there. Consumers and businesses are still looking to make purchases, it’s just their approach is just going to be more considered. As Nick Stace said this week in The Telegraph, businesses need to change the way they interact with their customers. Brands can no longer hide behind a logo, we are all on show and more accountable for our actions then ever before thanks to social media. However the great news is that our customers want to interact with us so all we need to do is watch, listen and learn.
At Badger PR we’re kicking off the year with a bang as this week we’ve sent off a high profile celebrity and media to Africa, visiting some of Kenya’s most impoverished regions to discover the issues and solutions behind energy access, more on which will be coming soon.
I know for me personally the New Year feels like a distant memory but there’s no sign of the January blues at Badger PR because 2012 is going to be the year to watch. Whatever your year holds for you we wish you all the best of luck and hopefully we’ll be seeing you soon.
